You already had RB Sedrick Alexander committed; now you have A.J. Newberry. These two fill the scholarships taken by the departed Rocko Griffin and Ray Davis.
Now, the question becomes... if RB Jordon "Jtrain" Louie (who visited over the weekend) or RB Deago Benson (scheduled to visit officially later this week), or both, want to commit, do you still take them? Or are we all full now at running back?
Vandy is, for sure, running out of available scholarships to offer, unless some more guys are leaving that we don't know about already.
We'll watch and report.

If the two uncommitted backs are better than the ones committed, yes take them. If they aren't, maybe not.

Until a player signs his commitment it ain't worth the paper it is written on. So, while I am optimistic that all of our verbal commitments will actually sign, flipping players our way does not preclude the opposite from happening.

From the Dallas Morning News:
Newberry, a 6-0, 200 pound back, ranked third among Dallas-area 6A players this season with 1,736 yards. He scored 23 touchdowns for Grand Prairie (6-6) as a senior after a 1,184-yard, 20-touchdown junior campaign. 247Sports.com ranks him as the nation’s 75th overall running back.
He committed to Colorado in April, but visited Vanderbilt earlier this month. Newberry also held scholarship offers from Nebraska, Indiana and Cal.

Jordan "JTrain" Louie is 6-0, 210 from Meadowcreek HS in Norcross, Georgia. He was a West Virginia commit through most of the season but de-committed around Thanksgiving. It looks as though he's going to take three official visits before deciding: Vanderbilt (just completed), North Carolina (this weekend), and then UK (the weekend after next). Sometimes you shoot yourself in the foot by doing that, as classes fill up. But he is a big-time running back who recently got elevated to 4 stars by one of the services.
Deago Benson, 6-0, 200 RB from Midlothian, Texas, seems like a long shot for Vandy, as he has a bunch of big-time offers: Kansas State (where I think he'll end up), Iowa, Washington State, and Boise State. But he's visiting Vandy officially this week, and (as I've noted) Vandy has been very persuasive and successful with these prospects whom they can get to take official visits.
