One of our GOATS….I’ve never seen anyone make more spectacular receptions ever! We were very fortunate to get him, only because others wanted him to play defense (UK). Even in the pros, if he was in the game, Cutler was going to him! A lack of outstanding speed caught up to him in the NFL, but he still was a leader in fewest dropped passes over the years. Definitely a future Hall of Fame Dore!!

Congrats Dr Earl Bennett….a human highlight film in Black and Gold on and off the field, as well!!!

Double Vandy Grad w/U Houston to boot, and back at Vandy making a difference. Oh yeah... something called the NFL too. Incredible. Congrats Doc!

I remember interviewing him in the locker room when he was at Vandy. He had his shirt off. I was amazed at his muscles. I had seen well-conditioned athletes before but never like them. His muscles weren't big and smooth, they had like zillions of little muscle strands. I wish I would have asked him if I could take a photo of him so you guys could see what I saw.

Anyway, he told me he wanted to be a professor someday. I was impressed but also quietly skeptical that he could do it. I'm very happy for him.
