Vandy hasn't gotten an opposing coach fired-- yet-- but it has gotten one OC fired

Post by BrentVU »

One thing Vandy has become notorious for is the number of opposing head coaches it gets fired when they lose a game to Vanderbilt. (Last year, for example, Colorado State fired Steve Addazio after a bad season that included a loss to Vandy.)

So far it doesn't look as though any head coach who lost to Vandy is going to lose his job. But Kentucky's Mark Stoops has fired offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello, who came under fire after Vandy's defense held the Wildcats to 322 total yards in a 24-21 Vandy win.
