Story from Florida Times-Union on Bradley Mann's commitment to Vanderbilt

Post by BrentVU »

The 6-foot-6, 260-pound Mann is ranked No. 68 on the USA Today Florida Network's midseason top 100. He also had offers from Pittsburgh, Indiana, Virginia and others.

Mann has 47 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, six sacks, 13 quarterback pressures and a fumble recovery in 10 games for the Bulldogs this season. He had two tackles and a sack in Bolles' 55-7 win in the Region 1-4A championship game at South Walton last week.

Jacksonville-Bolles and Mann play Friday in the state 4A semifinals vs. Cocoa.

And here's one from Saturday Down South...

Originally, Mann was committed to play for Pitt, but an unofficial visit to Vandy in mid-September was followed by an official de-commitment from Pitt’s class at the end of the month. It would seem the relationship with Lea’s staff has only grown since. He’s scheduled to take an official visit on Dec. 10. Mann chose Vanderbilt over Louisville, Virginia, and Pitt.

A 2-way player and a lacrosse guy for Bolles in Jacksonville, Florida, Mann brings a big frame to the Commodores’ defensive line. He’s listed at 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds. His 247Sports scouting report, per Andrew Ivins, details a quick, rangy athlete that’ll play in a 3-technique or 4i at the college level. The 247 Composite rates him as the 89th defensive lineman in his class and the No. 607 prospect overall.
