Re: Vandy-Tennessee thread
The second quarter is a disaster: we have to score or we can forget it.

Re: Vandy-Tennessee thread
This is the worst coached team#!# I know we don't have good players but always out of position! Offense runs same old crap no creativity. Sad so predictable.

Re: Vandy-Tennessee thread
Man Auburn must have a heck of a defensive coordinator!!!
I thought we got out jimmy and Joe’d not really out coaches so far. Second half could get ugly(er) without any offense

Re: Vandy-Tennessee thread
So a slightly ironic rant about officiating - with a happy ending....
Orji got a "roughing" call that I thought was a real reach. It was shoulder to shoulder and not very late.
"Last play of the half" we get hit late out of bounds - n o call. And the clock operator runs the clock to zero after the play. Just not right - andx to their credit the refs did put a second back on.
With the fifteen yard penalty it would have been easier to try to run a hail Mary. But we made it anyway. And let's give Wright and Shepard credit - Shepard made a great catch at the ONE - he had to lean over backwards to get in. And he did.
We really needed that. We were really looking down. And hopefully that will be the spark Wright needs to get aggressive again. It was a real bad half of offense aside from that final play.

Our defense has held a very productive UT offense well so far. Not sure what game you are watching, Nashmann.

Re: Vandy-Tennessee thread
The pick 6 was a killer. We don't allow that and it's 17-7 at the half.

Re: Vandy-Tennessee thread
Yeah, we still have a long way to go but get it right. UT's offense did not score 24 on Vanderbilt in the first half.

The halftime stats are close. The scoreboard shows UT is halfway to a blowout.charlestonalum wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 4:16 pmOur defense has held a very productive UT offense well so far. Not sure what game you are watching, Nashmann.

Re: Vandy-Tennessee thread
No one said they were stellar.
They had a decent first half.
For some reason our OC thinks we can pocket pass. But d's blitz and cover the short stuff and we are helpless. We HAVE to roll him out. There is no time for long developing plays in the pocket.
If our o is doing nothing our d just can't stay out there all day.
