Gentry Estes (Tennessean): For Vanderbilt, subtle progress means nothing in a 42-point shutout loss to Florida

Post by BrentVU »

This game was over when Florida rolled to a pair of touchdowns in the first five minutes of the third quarter.

Actually, no, it was over long before that. Whatever subtle progress there was for Vanderbilt in this game, it meant nothing while getting its tail kicked by 42 points.

And that could be a recurring theme for the rest of Clark Lea’s first season.

What have we learned so far in 2021? Aside from the fact that Colorado State and UConn want no part of East Tennessee State?

Well, essentially, the hay is already in the barn. Anything more would be an unexpected surprise.
