Re: The Earth may now resume spinning on its axis...
...yes and no. FIVE players have them, according to the updated online roster... presumably, the others are still waiting...
https://vucommodores.com/sports/football/roster/
What I make of this is that the guys who really pushed the others during spring workouts (and maybe summer workouts too) have been awarded numbers... and others perhaps will receive them in drips and drabs as summer turns into fall... so now you kind of know who the new staff has recognized as leaders/sparkplugs.
Four of the five guys, including the two QB's, have the same numbers as last season; the only number change is Elijah McAllister, who takes over Donovan Kaufman's number (1) from last season and vacates No. 41. Ashmore and Davis get theirs just in time for Media Days, which perhaps sheds some light on why those two were chosen as Media Days spokesguys.
It's different... I'm sure it will be the talk of the town, and we'll learn more on Wednesday. I guess the only thing that really matters is, does it properly motivate the players?

Those are the physio-tracker devices that allows the coaches to maximize practice time, individually.

Still, they look effeminate. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
