NIL and time management

Post by LawoftheWest »

Leading up to, and during, the season the days of college athletes are full. I believe the coaches can have the football players 20 hours per week for practices, meetings and so on. However, the players are expected to look at dvd's provided by their coaches (voluntary, of course - hah), plus they spend lots of time on their own in the weight room.

Then, there are the silly distractions, called classes, homework assignments and study time. The players need good time management skills.

Now, add to all of that the time spent shooting videos to get NIL money. Oh, as an example, the video for a local car dealer will be in the player's hometown, say a 4 hour drive away. Tell that to Nick Saban. The player suddenly moves down in the depth chart. The point is that Saban and many other coaches require total commitment from their players.

It will be interesting to see how distracted players will become in their search for NIL money, and how their search will affect their team's performance.
