Reminder about Posting links to Premium content

Post by admin »

We do allow the posting of premium content now, however, you must put "PREMIUM" in the subject field. We don't want folks clicking on stuff and then finding out after they click that they have to pay. Also, you should paraphrase what's in the story, not copy the story but just say in the few words what the story's bottom line is. Not just the title. Paraphrasing is not illegal People do it all the time.

So let's suppose there is a link to a preview of Vanderbilt football and it's premium. You have access because you subscribe to that publication. We don't want in the title just the title of the article. Rather than "PREMIUM: Football Times Previews Vanderbilt" you'd say in the subject something like "PREMIUM: Football Times Preview Projects 8 wins for Vandy." Give us some tidbit. Doing that might just spur folks to be more likely to subscribe to the publication.

If you don't want to do that don't post the premium link.
