Sooo. I know there is still plenty of season left. And the early returns weren’t great.
But Stack is a good coach. The team lost its best player a day prior to playing a projected NCAAT 1 seed and was in the game late. Not to mention they played them better than anybody else in the SEC had up to that point.
Today, they are also without the only true center who can backup QMB as Dort goes down with an injury. And they win a tough road game against a UGA team that has been better than expected this season after building enough of a lead to hold off the late run. This was only Mike White’s second loss at Stegeman since being hired (18-2).
Stack can coach. And this team is playing well with the pieces it has. Damn shame two pieces are removed for the stretch run of the season, because I think it would have been a very interesting run.
