Luke Kornet
Okay. I know it's not Darius Garland's 51 point night ... but anyone catch Luke's stat line for the Celtics tonight?
8 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 15 pts on 7-7 shooting.
Not too shabby.

Re: Luke Kornet
Impressive, keep it rolling Luke! If the Celts keep playing like this Luke may own a pretty heavy gold ring by season's end.

While the other backup center for Boston (Blake Griffin) had 0 points and 2 rebounds.

Re: Luke Kornet
Seems like Luke has established himself as the #2 center for the Celtics over the last few games.

At least until Robert Williams comes back from injury. Of course, last i heard the Celtics were *hoping* for early to mid January on that one...AuricGoldfinger wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 10:58 am Seems like Luke has established himself as the #2 center for the Celtics over the last few games.

More Luke:
Just a side note here. Luke hasn't missed a shot in a week and a half!!
Since only shooting 4-8 from the floor on Veteran's Day, Luke and the Celtics have played 5 games (including the one in my original post). In those 5 games, Luke is 10-10 from the floor and 6-6 from the line. Obviously he's a pretty low volume shooter, but still...

Re: Luke Kornet
I live in Massachusetts and watch the Celtics play every game. Kornet is doing well as a backup, but struggles in two areas: 1. He doesn't defend the pick and roll well and 2. He is not aggressive enough on offense. He rebounds well and is the Celtics #1 shot blocker right now. When the Celtics starting center returns, Robert Williams, I suspect Kornet's time will go down considerably. But he's such an easy person to pull for and Celtics nation has embraced him whole heartedly.
