Some new looks at the Gym

Post by AuricGoldfinger »

I had recently seen they were refinishing the floors so I thought we might see a new look there as well, but it doesn't appear so from these photos.

Looks like the "BLOCK V" is slowly creeping into the VU athletic lexicon to eventually replace the "Star V".

I sure as heck hope not. Star V is the best brand asset we have. Completely idiotic to replace it with a generic V. Literally a case study on what not to do in marketing.

Good. I've hated the "Star V" ever since it was introduced.

I loved the V with the Commodore with the sword built into the side.

My favorite Vandy logo is the V with the oak leaf built in near the bottom, but I don't think that's ever been used for athletics.

I never understood the meaning of the "star" in the star v emblem. Always looked like a sherrif's badge to me....can someone explain?

In the US Naval tradition a Commodore was a 1 star admiral.

What the heck does a star have to do with cowboys? Less than it does with commodore. It's a great brand mark. The V in the middle makes it our own. Symmetrical. Looks great on just about anything you put it on.

I like the Star-V.

As for the star and the Dallas Cowboys, if that is your reference, Texas is "The Lone Star State."

Ah ha. Seems like that would be more apropos for the Texans rather than the Cowboys.

Unfortunately, but do not despair, you can find a benefit from it. The benefit is that there is a gym that is not ashamed to go to work out, and the trainers there are not bad. You need to learn the needs of the body in sports, and not wait for updates to the walls inside the gym. That's what our coach taught us. He was a good guy, he found me a good place to practice near work, he's teaching my son on a private basis, he even helped me to find Ostarine for Sale when my muscles got cramped. So don't think about the environment, it can always change.
