Re: He's baaaaaack!
I think this is really best for him. He will have another year to grow physically stronger and to learn more from Stack. Maybe next year the additional development will lead to a good draft position. Also, my understanding is that this year the draft is loaded with talent, so perhaps next year there will be less competition.
Welcome back.
Welcome back.

A much needed piece of good news for Vandy basketball.

Best basketball news in 5-6 years?
What a shot in the arm. We might be legit next year. Pity what's-his-name went to Austin.

Re: He's baaaaaack!
I am so happy about this. I wish he hadn't put that initial announcement up a few months ago with what seemed like a final "goodbye" to Vanderbilt. That really had me convinced that he was gone. This is great news.

Re: He's baaaaaack!
This, sportsman's, means we just might prove that Stack can win at Vanderbilt as most of us have hoped all along. Coming on the heels of playing in CWS finals and strong football recruiting and WBB coaching, the impact of our new Chancellor's interest, support for athletics, mean we just may be in a new era for Vanderbilt athletics. I'm ready.
Re: He's baaaaaack!
Hmm. Folks, no reason we won't have a legit team next year. We have some pieces. CJS brought in some players to take the pressure off Scottie.

To state the obvious: this makes such a huge difference for the state of the program going into next season. With the pieces that were added in the off-season, the team might actually have a viable shot at making the NCAAT.

He never said he wouldn't come back if the draft didn't work out. With a name like "Foreverhopeful" you should not be looking at stuff with such a negative attitude.Foreverhopeful wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 6:33 am I am so happy about this. Re: He's baaaaaack!
What he wrote was interpreted by most as a very gracious goodbye to Vanderbilt. Of course, the door was left a little bit open, and fortunately, he came back through it. My attitude is far from negative, but I'm pretty good at interpreting words and meanings. But obviously things changed for him.commadore wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 7:38 amHe never said he wouldn't come back if the draft didn't work out.
