For discussion of Vanderbilt Commodores men's basketball games and recruiting.
Give the guys a break, they are young and just lost their go to guy. Nesmith played with a lot of confidence and fire. He was definitely the leader on this team and you don't replace that overnight. Also not CJS fault seeing what he has left to work with, 3-juniors 1-sophomore 4-freshmen and 3-walk on. Unfortunately one of the juniors is Moyer who has not shown any sign of offensive skills and probably wouldn't get any playing time if we had a full roster. Currently this team is having to play with a much greater handicap than last years team.
They may not, but they also have lost a player who I think is as good this year (or better) than was Garland when he went out, plus a center (Brown) who was playing really well and was better than any big man we had last year. We are down to 8 scholarship players which was not the case last year. There is less talent, especially with our two guys out, than there was last year, so they can play better as a team and be fundamentally more sound, but still lose more games than last year. If you can't see that, then maybe you should go to a Louisville or Cincinnati board.

Well, this team is far from fundamentally sound. Maybe with more PT for each player and more practices & coaching they will get there.
