Titans getting nothing from tight ends

Post by EllistonVU »

This according to the morning beat writer...

Not mentioned in the article... Jeff Fisher actually TRADED UP to get Jared Cook and then the team didn't keep him.** He has 30 catches already this season and a couple of TDs.

Yes, everybody knows about Walker's injury.

**That was soooooo Titans of them.

Note, this a "Titans' Fan" forum. So non Titans fans should really keep quiet, especially when they really don't know what they are talking about.

When the Titans let Cook go, they had just signed Walker. Walker has been to the last three Pro Bowls as one of the very best tight ends in the NFL (and honestly should have been a Pro Bowler all 5 years).

This is Jared Cook's 10th year in the NFL, and he has yet to make a Pro Bowl. He isn't bad, but Walker is so much better.

The Titans are suffering at the TE position this year because they lost one of the best in the league, and that is extremely hard to replace after week 1.

Cook has almost as many career receiving yards as Walker in FOUR LESS SEASONS:

Walker isn't bad but trading up on draft day to get a guy the coach says he has to have and then the team not keeping him? When he caught 1300 yards in passes the last two years here? And they swore Jonnu Smith would be the next big thing at TE. How is THAT working out?

Smith - 2 catches in 5 games for 21 yards.

(But I will still pull for the titans when they play the cowgirls or the raiders... those are the teams I really don't like. To me the titans are just another NFL team... no different than the Niners or Carolina or any other non-cowgirls/non-raiders team)
