Tate has 611 career receptions for 7,214 yards and 38 receiving touchdowns.

And would have gladly come home to play for the local NFL team at the peak of his career.

If they had wanted him. Another titanic screw up...

Tate is a great receiver. But did you see his contract?

Golden Tate signed a 4 year, $37,500,000 contract with the New York Giants, including a $10,000,000 signing bonus, $22,950,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $9,375,000. In 2019, Tate will earn a base salary of $1,975,000, a signing bonus of $10,000,000, a roster bonus of $3,000,000 and a workout bonus of $25,000, while carrying a cap hit of $7,500,000 and a dead cap value of $22,950,000.

Humphries is a little bit cheaper (4 years, $36,000,000), but he is also 5 years younger than Tate. The Giants paying that much for a 30 year old receiver is a bit risky.

Bashing the Titans for not paying $38 million to a 30 year old player is pretty stupid (though typical for you know who).

Enjoy your losing non-playoff season over there on the east bank.

They will probably throw Vrabel under the bus and be in the market for a new coach again. Lots of certain losses in the last half of the schedule.

Jim Bob Cooter was seen recently near MetroCenter wearing a multi-shade-blue necktie.
