Sneds is in 2nd to last place after a terrible +3 today. The good news is that last place still pays around $350,000, but I hope he can things going these next three rounds.
Brandt shot a 3 under 67 on Saturday. Finished just before the weather delay. Front nine: one birdie, one bogey. Back nine: three birdies. Tee to green, Brandt hit the ball well. He could have/should have had 2-3 more birdies on the front nine. Credit to him - he kept his cool and began putting much better on the back nine. Should bode well for Sunday. They are playing for some big money. Go Vandy!!
Brandt's take from the East Lake finals was $450,500 - for a tie for 24th place. He also got paid well for his finish in the two previous PGA playoff events. Not a really great year but still had a lot of positives. Over $3 million in official earnings. By getting to the final 30 in this past week's event, Brandt qualifies for all the majors in 2020, I think. At East Lake, Brandt drove the ball well off the tee and had lots of near misses on the greens. The gnarly rough around the greens was not kind to him at times. After some rest, he should be hungry and confident heading into the fall season. Go Vandy!
