Bim-Bam!

I’d have to go with Sharma....she won MVP as a freshman, when we won the National title and was MVP again this year, although we were runner-up. Clutch player on the big stage!!

She is so dominating, she appears to lose focus sometimes when she is overwhelming her opponent. It’s been a joy to watch her during her career and feel she has a promising future as a pro where she can devote her efforts to the game full time.

That was a necessity!! The #4, #5 and #6 Stanford singles are very strong.

Actually, we didn’t keep piling it on....we left the bases loaded the last 2 innings. 8-)

Since we are playing Monday morning quarterback, I think Gillis should have been pulled after the first out of the fifth inning. The next hitter hit a solo homer to make it 8-7, VU, and he never would have gone out for the 6th.

Kaiser has had a fairly consistent year, in my opinion. He has had a lot of clutch hits as opposed to the “roll-your-eyes” hitter he was in past seasons. It’s no longer a cringe-moment to see him at bat in those situations and, of course, his glove is spectacular. Here’s hoping they get the sweep an...

It takes courage to make that call! He was definitely out and I have been particularly impressed with the umpires behind the plate calling balls and strikes during this series, so far.

I believe VU would have another National title if he had not hurt his arm his senior year.

It would certainly help if we could sweep a series or two.....hopefully beginning this weekend. That will be a tall task if we don’t hit and make a few errors.

Do we play Belmont in tennis or golf? It doesn’t appear we can beat them in our “revenue” sports.

Another VU grad is doing quite well on the LPGA. She finished in a tie for second at the LPGA Founders Cup tourney after making a bogey on the final hole. Her play has improved dramatically over the last 2 years.

Why we are playing Notre Dame is beyond me. It would be a great win, but we have little chance. I would rather play someone on our level from a power 5 Conference, like Duke, Rutgers, Indiana or Kansas....we have to win all our non-conference games to have a good shot for a bowl. 5 wins next year wi...
