Re: Thoughts about the Season
I will throw in my two cents - and, oddly, it is a bit rosier than most folks on the board. And that is not usually my trademark. I think we have a swarming group of talented and fast guards. Pippen is obviously the star - and I do think he should, on paper, come back for one more year. It is not a ...

Re: Ouch. Keyon Henry-Brooks entering the transfer portal
This kid is a great player. I wish he had stayed - we are going to have a very good o-line next year and he was going to be great again. With that said, he can move to a "contender" and play in the national spotlight. I suspect he will go to a big name program. We do have some very good rb...

There is serious talk of the 2020 amateur draft being cancelled by mlb
I guess the logic is the draft assigns players to go play in the summer - and if there are no leagues this summer... why shell out big money and hire players not to play? There are reports, anyway, that MLB and the union seem to be discussing this. The other cost saving feature is that it would mean...

Re: Ty Duvall confirms he's returning next season!
Really good news!!!
and thank you!!!!
It may cost him some money. But it may not.
And Vandy fans should appreciate having him back. We really need senior leadership on this team. We will be talented - but verrrrrry young.

Re: fighting chance
I recognize that the Yankees may pull out all the stops between now and the deadline - but it seems we at least have a fighting chance here with DeMarco - and I also see no sign that Duval has signed. It is an interesting situation. Again, both of these guys have contributed mightily to a National C...

the new forming cult of college baseball
I don't want to get ahead of myself here - but I think thanks to ESPN and the SEC (and other league) channels, college baseball is rising at a very fast pace. I think two things are happening. First, the pros are - as the ESPN announcers pointed out - learning to give draft ties to the college playe...

Re: Clarke signed
I note that, despite some chatter, there is nothing official about DeMarco signing yet. Obviously, I hope he stays. The draw of the Yankees has to be strong. I do think his draft status will do nothing but skyrocket next year. With Clarke gone - this is even more true. He and Martin would be the mai...

You have to appreciate those championships.
They’re hard to get. A lot of things have to fall in place.
We’ll be doing some rebuilding next year.
But no one can take that championship away. Thanks for the memories - I’ll be rooting for all these guys at the next level.

Re: TV ratings for Game 3 up 6% over last year's Game 3
It could well be that it was the Big Ten tuning in.
But it also could be that we are "branding."
Between Rocker and Martin next year - I suspect ESPN will be preparing to play us up heavily. And I don't mind.

Great team. Great win. Winningest team we've ever had.
So much pressure - and they just pushed on. Top 2 all year and never wavered.
Thank you!!!

Not a pretty inning - but 7-2 going to the bottom of 8.

Re: College World Series Final Game Thread
I have complimented several umps for their strike zones during the CWS.
We have to survive this guy.
Bleday gets called out on two pitches way outside. The announcers call one of the called strikes "a pitch out." My favorite line of the night.
