I'm a Phillies fan, so I was obviously hoping September would go a different way, but I am certainly happy for the multiple Commodores on that team and will probably root for them in the playoffs. I think Phillies-Braves is the next 5+ years of the NL East.

I think we are supposed to play a weekend series at Duke this year. I would imagine that would be in February or early March.

Forget soccer- if we can get the MLB here, try to back out of the MLS. We can't spread ticket dollars and stadium costs too thin, and I will probably never watch a Nashville soccer team game, but I would probably go to 5-10 games a year of a Nashville MLB team. Now, I don't like soccer, so I'm biase...

We never will know the answer to this, but with MSU in really good shape to get to the finals and the fact we probably should have beaten them, I wonder if we could have beaten the same teams. Maybe we were an outstretched glove against Duvall (or a million other things) from getting to the champion...

I'm rooting for Mississippi State. They have a likable team and a good fanbase. Plus, it would kind of make us look better if we barely lost an instant classic to the champs. It might be painful to play "what if" and wonder if we might have had a chance to win it all if we had won, though.

You'd have to put Scott in left field since we'll already have Clake as DH. That's what I'm guessing Tim's gonna do, unless there's a different outfielder that's playing really well and Scott stays at catcher I suspect all 3 of these guys will get good reps, and each will at least get some time beh...

Normally, yes, but when they are the same seed they do a coin toss for who hosts Game 1. The loser hosts Game 2 and they do another coin toss for Game 3 (we won that one).

No, he is the AD. Their coach Andy Cannizaro (sp?) was fired for some sexual scandal after the first three games of the season. Their interim coach is named Gary Henderson and has done a good job this year.

They should really keep their interim coach. He took a team that was headed for a bottom of the SEC finish after everything that happened to a super regional. I think he did a really good job and already knows the program.

I would think they can take calls, as long as they don't sign. Technically, Kaiser could even decide that the offer wasn't good enough (this won't happen). Remember, Norwood did this with the Marlins after hitting the championship-winning home run in 2014 (he ultimately signed, but he didn't have to).

With it being in the 30th round, I have to wonder if some of our juniors might start to think that the benefit to one more year might outweigh the loss of bargaining power. If I were someone like Raby or Infante, I would be seriously considering coming back even if drafted sometime in the late rounds.
