Re: What do you think now about bowl opt-outs?
How many players did we have opt out of the UT game last year? Admittedly, last year was unique in several respects but will bowl game opting out start to intrude into the regular season?

Re: My experiences meeting Vanderbilt coaches
While I was there, Kramer came up with a different arrangement for distributing student basketball tickets. It was somewhat of a mess. He quickly announced that it had been his idea, he thought it would be better, it clearly was not and that we would revert to the old plan. He apologized and took fu...

Re: My experiences meeting Vanderbilt coaches
Not exactly in the category, but my step father was law partners with Roy Kramer’s dad, brother and nephew. I’ve only remembered having interactions with the nephew, who is a big Vandy fan and great guy.
I always thought Roy did a super job, even before I was aware of the connection.

Re: Four players named preseason All-American
Yeah, Bradfield was consensus AA 1st last year, led the nation in steals and is bumped to 2nd team?

Re: Recruiting updates from Twitter
I’ll be very disappointed if we start out next year trying to re-establish the offense that hasn’t worked rather than build on what was starting to work at the end of this year. It seems like that’s been the pattern for the last several years.

Re: Random ruminations on the season that was (long)
In 2020, the O line starters took the Covid bye. We managed to have a decent offense using what had been 2nd and 3rd team linemen. The offense was the bright spot in a dismal year. In 2021, the bye players returned, along with the ones who got experience in their absence. And yet the line was signif...

Re: OT: Poll: Resolved: I wish we'd never hired James Franklin
I am in my late 50s. Franklin was by far the best VU football coach I can remember. I remember Steve Sloan quite well, too, but CJF was better. He breathed life back into our nearly dead program. Hiring Franklin was the best thing (maybe the only good thing) David Williams ever did at VU. The Commo...

So, has UT finished paying all their myriad of ex-coaches (except Pruitt, in litigation)?

Re: OT: Poll: Resolved: I wish we'd never hired James Franklin
It was great fun while he was here, but apparently lots of our fans became convinced that what he did was not an anomaly but an easy norm. “Hey, just hire the next guy and let him get nine wins too!” As if such success was the common, simple thing.

Deuce McCallister keeps being confused about which team is which. At least 5 times, so far.
No idea why they reviewed that catch.

Re: Thoughts on Vandy's loss to Ole Miss
It seemed to me that we used a lot more of the width of the field on offense for the first time, which opened up the running lanes.
Also, I would not be surprised if Barr was hidden from Corral’s view by some huge lineman on that interception. I once got a sand lot interception that way!

Re: just wondering….
According to some posters, it’s because the team has given up on the coaches. Or that the coaching is so bad.
I also noticed that we won the second half and would like to hear analysis of the adjustments we made. It sure looked like KY stayed with the first team until the game ended.
