Re: Mostly OT: Oregon coach blasts Duck fans for lackluster NIT game attendance
Ducks fans stayed at home so they wouldn't have to look at their gym's floor, which is heinous. Jackson Pollack must be rolling over in his grave...

I was prepared to continue to dislike Slay when I first heard him on the radio. He's funny, informed and always entertaining. I am very happy for his success.

I can't help but think if we had won just two of the six games we lost in pre-SEC play we'd be in. You can't dig yourself a deep hole like that to start the year. Slow starts are unacceptable. You start the year with 12 victories over cupcakes and motor into the SEC schedule with a full head of steam.

Re: Ezra joining Q back next year
I hate to hear that Ezra lost credits transferring here. Here's hoping he stays and finishes his degree.
Manjon is incredibly fun to watch! His blazing speed and fearlessness in the paint reminds me a lot of Allen Iverson. He was a great find by Stack.

Re: NCAA Tourney/Selection Thread
I think we are very close to getting in but won't. This team has been remarkable since the Bama game but the wins started happening too late. If we don't make the NCAAs this year, then go win the NIT. I will be just as proud of them. With everyone coming back, a good transfer or two coming in and a ...

The Tennessean caters to the big orange unwashed. Even the smallest complimentary article about VU might offend them. Besides ignoring us, there is hardly ever any mention of TSU, Belmont or any other local college and university sports.

Re: OT: Pete Maravich record …
For math: Forget stats for a moment. Did you see the guy play? I admit that, no. I am too young. And by all accounts, the dude was amazing. So I'm sure he was. And I'm POSITIVE he was a lot better than the guy about to break his record. But I sincerely doubt he would average 44ppg if he played toda...

Miller's legal problems won't begin until fall, when he's making an NBA salary and gets hit with a massive civil lawsuit from the victim's family.

Re: Clark Lea comments on his first-year staff hires
I have been in HR for a long time and have hired a lot of people. One thing that happens is you occasionally make a hiring mistake. Thankfully, Lea learned this lesson after his first season and moved to rectify his mistakes. That being said, I cannot imagine how difficult it is for a first time HC ...

Re: Shan Foster's take on the situation via Twitter
The scrutiny and criticism must be balanced. The football coach lost by 50+ 3x this season and I’m not sure he has faced such an outcry… You are either a troll or new to this board. Lea's been raked over the coals quite a few times on here. Simple people say simple things Thanks for proving your ow...

Re: How Much Longer
Nate Oates was the head coach for the University of Buffalo before he came to Alabama. His Buffalo team soundly beat 4-seed Arizona in the NCAA tournament before Ala hired him. Kevin Stallings and Eddie Fogler both had success coaching at a smaller conference school before their hires. Maybe we sho...

The dreaded vote of confidence for a beleaguered coach. I predict CSL will continue to be confident in Stackhouse until she is told to fire him.

Re: Shan Foster's take on the situation via Twitter
Shan deserves his opinion, but I think there's nothing to see here. For all of his lack of success and roster issues, people have been relatively easy on Stack. I witnessed far worse vitriol for Stallings and Drew on here than Stack's ever gotten. He's been deserving of everything that's come his way.

Re: CJS talks about benching players in Tuesday's loss
Stack is fast becoming a walking PR nightmare. To me. he's coaching and speaking like someone who just had his contract extended. Makes me wonder if he would have employed the same "scheduled loss" strategy if he was still fighting for that extension. I hope CSL has an updated list of coac...
