Re: I was encouraged by last night *

I thought Cunningham was totally dominate most of the time. He had one stretch with the 3 hitters (a walk, hbp, walk) followed by the only hit he gave up which, unfortunately, was a grand slam. The other 10 hitters he faced, he struck out 7! I don’t like to complain about the umps, but I do believe ...

Re: Thursday pitchers

I would be surprised if we see Futrell in this tourney. If we lose to UF, he could pitch a few innings Friday, but if we win, we won’t play until Saturday and that’s kind of late while looking forward to the NCAAs. From here I don’t see any of our starters going long unless they are pitching a shuto...

Bradfield goes 0-4 and scores 2 runs….that’s what an MVP can do for you!!!

Re: Dores 2023 MVP

EBJ, without a doubt!!! I believe we grew so accustomed to his phenomenal play that anything less than superhuman was unrecognized! Every team’s approach was to stop EBJ, including Florida’s watering down the batter’s box and first base to slow him down with the mud! His defense alone won a few game...

Re: BS ALL SEC team

I believe Corbs has done as good of a job as anyone in the SEC. If we had beaten Florida one time, we would be SEC champs! I don’t believe anyone thought that could be a possibility in preseason.

It seems I recall USC or LSU taking the “rest normal starter pitchers” approach in the SEC tourney to prepare for the NCAAs

Re: "They're pressing," Tim Corbin said afterward. "I can see it, you can see it."

Can you imagine how Reilly felt after watching his first baseman throw the ball into the outfield on a great pickoff attempt and the second baseman missing an easy double play grounder to end the first inning with no runs scored? Need to try someone new at second base and allow Austin to DH if we wa...

Re: Just thinking ahead

Becoming (once again) a strong team in a strong SEC is one thing, competing for a national title is quite another. I just wonder though if it matters to sisters to play together in college or if each sister needs her separate space. If it is the latter, then she will end up elsewhere. Unfortunately...

Re: The color guy last night

This is what you’re going to get when on the road, especially out of conference. The color guy is, typically, going to be some homer….I’ve come to expect it. It’s similarly that way in our SEC road goes, but not as bad.

If he comes back and only averages 30 per game, all is forgiven. I would love to see him back regardless , he seemed not only a good player but a good person. I am a loyalist. I committed to Vanderbilt in 1964 when I was 8 years old. It is my team. Was my dream to go there and I felt honored to rep...

Little walks 4 and gives up a hit to the first 5 batters for LSU….never Gets an out and all five hitters scored as AubUrn leads 6-1 in the first inning!

Schultz is a home run waiting to happen….how many times has he done that this year??? He must think no one can hit his fastball and everyone smashes it! Neither Ginther or Maldonado threw much this weekend and either could have been used. The problem we have had with our pitchers, including injuries...

Well, I didn't expect that. I'm at a loss. Couldn't he start on the MBA at Vandy? None of it makes sense to me. Unfortunately, not without work experience. Re: VU lands UT transfer Justine Pissott

This is extremely great news!! Be careful using the transfer portal for a chance at immediate success…..you could lose one of your premier players who had to ride the bench! ut’s loss is absolutely VU’s gain in a big way, even though Jackson decided to return! This could be the beginning of building...

The photos lead to a question: when flashing the "VU" hand sign, should the palm or the back of the hand face outward?

I definitely say palm out….this would be a good survey question!
