Re: Jordyn Confirms She'll Return; Brinae Not

Actually, as I read it, it doesn't explicitly say that Brinae won't return although it certainly sounds likely that she won't.

Excellent article, with a great retrospective of the past several years of Vandy WBB, as well as the history of the two players' years together

Re: Kiara Pearl Recovering From Surgery

Sad new, thanks for posting. Best wishes to her as she moves forward with her life. Surely Vanderbilt will figure out how to support her through the remainder of her academic career to ensure that she can leave with a Vanderbilt degree, won't they? At least I hope so!

I don't think she's been consistent enough over the course of the season to be selected FOY, but being named to the all-freshman team is a possibility.

... Texas A&M, Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina and then LSU or Tennessee. Yep. We screwed up. I was hoping to get in the opposite bracket from South Carolina so we wouldn't have to face them until the finals. ;) Not to sound too pessimistic, but if we get as far as playing SC, I'll consider t...

Re: Charlie Mattos is putting away the mic

I don't live in Nashville any more. Don't know what Charlie does for WSM (radio? tv? both?). But I would think after 30 years his bosses could give him one personal day off. Maybe on the proviso that he mention the generosity of his employer, yada, yada, yada. Unless Charlie is covering the invasio...

Welp, entertaining game, but unfortunately we came on the wrong end. Sacha Washington, another wow game, with 23 points incl 5-5 from FT line and 13 rebounds. Her growth over this season has been incredible!

Up 9 now with 6:18 left in the 3rd at 43-34. I was afraid our goose was cooked when we went down by double digits in the first and am very happy to know those fears didn't materialize.

Re: Charlie Mattos is putting away the mic

Final regular season game tomorrow (Sunday); after that, I guess it'll be like it usually is for seniors with little hope for post-season; i.e., every SECT game could be the final final game. It turns out to be a little more complicated than that. According to Charlie on the broadcast today, his da...

Re: Charlie Mattos' Final Home Game

Here ya go! ;) And when Baseball and Women’s Basketball are played at the same time — such as this afternoon — does WNSR carry the team that has won two national championships or the team that first played in a Final Four? Both. That's the magic of streaming. Sometimes modern technology makes me wa...

In honor of Charlie's last regular season game today, I looked through old photos to find old photos of Charlie and thought you all might enjoy a few of them -- I hope this attachment thingie works!

"Vanderbilt WBB defensive stalwart Jordyn Cambridge got into a master’s program at Vanderbilt. She has one year of eligibility left and her current plan is to return next year."

Re: SEC Standings (2-24-22)

I think you're right on the money, Whit. We can finish seeded anywhere from 11 to 13. There are different scenarios, but the simplest is for us to beat Alabama Sunday and for Texas A&M to lose Sunday at Georgia and stay out of a three-way tie with us and Alabama. If that happens, Bama wins the ...
