Re: Vanderbilt Education
I think it does make a difference. Of course, there are a lot of other factors in play- how motivated is the student, what is the field of study, how "academic" was the student-athlete when he/she arrived, etc. Look at Festus- I think his degree and the communication skills he developed at...

I know Stack was going to meet with each player individually after the NIT run ended.

I'm not surprised by this. Apparently he had trouble learning Stack's schemes.

Re: What I Love About Stackhouse
Great recap. I think he is The Guy and I am one of the ones who never gave up on him. I think he is smart, really loves his players and always has their best interests at heart. The parents of the players recognize this. His interviews are awesome!

I don't like their team or fans, but I do like Rick Barnes. That said, I was thrilled to wake up this morning and see that they had lost.

Re: Stute into the portal
From Stack's comments, which were very respectful and appreciative, it sounds like Myles and his family wanted a bigger role for Myles, and Stack had to tell them that it just wasn't going to happen. I still hate that Myles left before the NIT, but I guess the whole portal timing thing....

Lawrence isn't going anywhere. Stack has worked wonders with him. I think Shelby is the biggest risk to lose.

There were way more Michigan fans than I expected- including some in my section 2L. Ugh. It's a huge fan base, though.

Re: OT - NYT: A Fourth Alabama Player Was at a Deadly Shooting, in a Car Hit by Bullets
In the old days coaches would discipline players for exercising poor judgment. Guess those days are over Heck lance goulbirne got 4 games for a parking pass. Guess he’d have gotten the needle for doing what Brandon miller did. For the most part, Vanderbilt coaches have had a pretty firm handle on p...

Festus missed a few games for letting a friend who had graduated (so an alum) pay for a hotel room for him.

Exactly my point. All we had was the clapping.... [/quote] There are many reasons to cast asparagus at CBD, but his incessant clapping is way down the list. If you've ever paid attention to CSR on the women's sideline .....? Spot me, say, 25 claps and I'll take her in a head-to-head match with Bryce...
