Re: WRIGHT TO THE MANNING PASSING ACADEMY
The Manning camp, which takes place each summer in Louisiana, exists for high school football players who want to improve their skills. As I understand it, the college players who attend (around 40 each year) serve as counselors to the high school players. Although it's a great honor for a collegian...

100th Anniversary Stadium clips: Who can identify these clips?
The video in this tweet contains five film snippets of games from Vanderbilt Stadium. Who can identify them? The first is going to be kind of hard to identify... it shows only players running onto the field from the corner of the stadium near Parmer Field House. But how about 2 through 5? What year ...

Re: SEC to talk about scheduling changes at spring meetings
The great news about this is... every school in the SEC is going to want Vandy in their pod! (I always wanted to be popular when I was growing up.)

Here are some HS players planning official visits to Vandy in June
A recent NCAA rule change now allows juniors to take official visits as early as Sept. 1 of their junior year, as opposed to Sept. 1 of their senior year. So we are seeing a few rising seniors take their official visits this summer. The following rising seniors have all announced OFFICIAL visits to ...

Two other former Vandy players (under Mason) sign contracts
S Tae Daley (who transferred from Vandy to Virginia Tech) has signed a free-agent contract with the Arizona Cardinals; OL Devin Cochran (who transferred from Vandy to Georgia Tech) has done the same with the Cincinnati Bengals. Coincidentally, Chris Pierce also signed with the Cardinals, and Allan G...

Re: ANOTHER DECOMMITTMENT?
Mooney's offer list had continued to grow despite his commitment to Vanderbilt last fall; other schools basically ignored that public pledge. This seems like a case of a recruit who had made a very early commitment realizing that he could have his pick of some other higher-profile schools. Mooney wa...

Re: SEC to talk about scheduling changes at spring meetings
Here's a follow-up article by the same authors... is the SEC going to nine games? Are the two divisions going to go away? If so, how will the teams be grouped? Which teams will be permanent non-rotating opponents? Supposedly these authors have a little "intel" on this from inside sources (although t...

Randolph committed to UNC after a weekend visit there... seems to be the impulsive type! We'll see if this commitment sticks.

Remnant of a recruiting class, 2018
Much has been made of the 11 or 12 guys who graduated last week and are transferring out as graduates. But here is a photo of seven guys, all of whom got degrees last Friday, and five of whom will be back on the gridiron this fall... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FSmoPfEWQAAzeqn.jpg From left: Maxwell...

Arizona State outlet interviews Cam Johnson about transfer
Some may be turned off by Cam Johnson's entry into the portal. I say, how can you be turned off by someone who graduates from Vandy in four years, gives you four great seasons on the field, and uses his NIL money to advocate for Downs Syndrome? ASU Football: Cam Johnson hopes to bring spark on the f...

Re: Follow up to Brent's post re: SEC scheduling format
I think pods of four, where you play three permanent opponents every year makes the most mathematical sense. If you expand to nine SEC games each year, the 3-6 rotating schedule makes it possible to play every other school home and home over four years, which meets that objective. But there are prob...
