Yes, I was just going to link this myself! Every Vandy fan should read this! Kudos to Diermeier and CSL for doing this.

Re: Three walk-ons awarded scholarships

OK... perhaps some things to talk about here. Harrison Smith is one of the best punters Vandy has had in recent memory, and he has evidently decided to use the Covid option to come back for a fifth year. Camden Coleman has been inspirational in his work on special teams the last two seasons. If anyo...

Re: SEC eliminates intraconference transfer penalty

I'm not a fan of it either, but it seems this is the way all the conferences are going. The ramifications really are pretty big, and savvy coaches will have to adjust.

Herschel Walker once played in it, and Steve Spurrier once coached in it. Whit Taylor too. Who else that we would know?

Re: So Any Progress On That Magnolia League?

What's this... Magnolialeague is back?!? After... how many years?!?

I am pleased to report that there has been absolutely zero progress on this. None. Nada. Vandy remains in good standing with the Southeastern Conference.

Welcome back. :)

Re: Kickoff times, TV arrangements announced for first three weeks

AuricGoldfinger's prediction was correct: The opener vs. ETSU (and debut of Clark Lea) won't be on any over-the-air, cable, or dish TV channels, but only on the ESPN+ and SECN+ streaming service. Get used to it... another way for ESPN to flex its mighty muscle and stretch out its revenue as much as ...

Re: Riley Neal working out with Cleveland Browns

My guess is that his one really bad year was attributable 20% Neal himself, 20% O-line, 60% coaching/scheme. With a decent game-manager QB with good legs, plus Vaughan, Lipscomb, and Pinckney, and an effective scheme and play calling, we should have had at least a competent mid-tier SEC offense. Th...

Re: Rejecting the portal?

What's interesting to me is that we've actually some relative success in football with transfers of late. Ke'Shawn Vaughn, obviously, but also notably Ivy League grad transfers like Parker Thome and Louie Vecchio. I realize grad transfers are in a way different from undergrads, but given how hard i...
