Re: Nonconference schedule announced

I think Brown and Obinna and Evans will be totally improved from before and Brown might even have what could be a called a late "break-out year."

Re: Nonconference schedule announced

Davidson is legitimately the best team on the schedule going into the year. Most experts see them as the favorite in the A-10 this year. They also have the league's best player and a member of the all-name team, Jon Axel Gudmundsson. Is he related to Agent Harvey Marfrundunjunsen from a Fish Called...

Re: Nonconference schedule announced

Last season, Tulsa won 18 games. Buffalo won 32 APSU won 22 Liberty won 29 Loyola won 20 and won 32 the previous year Davidson won 24 The 6 teams last season on the new OOC with the most wins total 146 wins for an average of 24 wins per. That's not as horrible as people think at first glance. Plus I...

Re: Nonconference schedule announced

I'm surprised Greg Sankey let us get away with it. But I do support getting these guys some wins after the oh-for-2019. I doubt we're going to be contending for a tourney bid, so it's not like we have to worry too much about our OOC strength of schedule. Maybe Kansas and UCLA didn't want to schedul...

Re: Recruiting

Other than 4 star Murrel, looks like we are after some 3 stars.....Stack not hitting it great but looks like lots of emphasis on 2021 & 2022 players. Speaking of Murrel, he has moved from 64 to 46 in the Rivals rankings. Of course, if he commits to VU, he will drop to 85. No, that would be football...

quote me: Maybe since they started winning more and rebuilt the stadium , it's less bleak, but possibly not by much. And a photo confirming as such. THIS is what it looked like when I was there but with far fewer people in the stadium: https://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/000/765...

Re: Tuesday Practice Gallery: More closeups of players

Here's a note I received from someone who is forum shy (anonymous). He's discussing the best ever WR corps at VU: FairVU!!? The words "shy" and "FairVU" could never be used in the same sentence unless you said FairVU was shy of his xyz birthday. Possibly BelleVu? He needs to post. I hope he didn't ...

Re: A "Real" View of SEC FB Market Attendance

I* have been to Duke and Wake games. Their attendance is slim despite having their rivals within 100 miles. I was at a VU at Duke game when DiNardo was coach and the place was nearly empty. You think the Dud has a lack of atmosphere? Maybe since they started winning more and rebuilt the stadium, it...

Re: Keon Johnson..Vawl or Buckeye?

Didn't Keon and his h.s. team get mega blown out when they played the private school from Chattanooga that had the international kids? Like boat raced and then some?

Hamilton Heights, was it? 112-57 according to MaxPreps.

Re: A "Real" View of SEC FB Market Attendance

That means half the crowd was Clemson fans when the Tigers played there. I saw that stadium in person last summer while driving around the campus and surprisingly it looks the same size as the Dud, but may hold 10k less fans. And to think, VU catches crap all the time over having a 41,000 capacity ...

Re: A "Real" View of SEC FB Market Attendance

Ever been to Winston-Salem. Even with nothing to do there but go to the local college football game, last season Wake had "reported" attendances of: 23,619; 25,309; 31,092 vs Notre Dame which is a terrible showing; 31,068 vs National Champs Clemson also a terrible showing; 26,126; 25,609; 25,717. Re: NFL pre-season player rankings are out!

How about 7-9 and last place in the AFC South?

(which does correspond to the individual player rankings fairly close)

When Rodgers was leaving Butte Community College, why didn't he pick Duke or Stanford or Notre Dame or Northwestern if he liked their facilities so much?

Re: Tennessean out of step

Now, the DNJ, a small town paper has put some of the high school sports articles behind a paywall. You shouldn't have to pay to read an article about your neighbor's kid playing high school football. That is ridiculous. I understand that the Titans are the media's golden cash cow from August to Janu...
