Re: Legitimate concerns

Bigger problem to me is the overall focus away from any real team loyalty among players. While I think the transfer portal needs some sort of refining, I will say that enforcing loyalty for players while letting coaches jump from school to school like mercenaries at wartime was a bigger problem and...

Re: Question

Is it unusual for there to be 2 different regionals in the same location. I'm watching Auburn/Houston, playing in Birmingham, in the Midwest Regional. Later tonight, in the same arena in Birmingham, Alabama is playing, in the South region. I realize they won't play each other (since they are in dif...

Opposing Coaches / Former Teammates

Jerry Stackhouse and Michigan coach Juwan Howard were NBA teammates in Dallas in 2007 (and possibly again in 2010 in Miami, though CJS only played 7 games that season, so there may not have been actual overlap). I wonder if this is the first time that former NBA teammates have coached against each o...

Re: Ron Slay

Slay was player of the year in the SEC. He could flap off at the mouth, but he outworked everyone to make himself a better player. That's an incredibly fair point. My focus on not backing things up was mostly around his first couple of seasons, but you're correct in that he had improved as a senior.

Re: Ron Slay

I have loathed Ron Slay ever since his team on the early 00's ut teams with Tony Harris (who I already hated from his time at East HS beating my HS at sub-state). He was a loudmouth, he was arrogant without being able to back it up on the court, he played dirty, and some of my favorite moments from ...

We're currently in EDT/CDT, but that's correct otherwise. 11AM local time, 12Noon ET.

Yet another example of why two teams is, was, and always will be the best way to settle things in college football.

Re: What did you guys think about Lea going for it on 4th and 1 on his own 34?

When we're facing a talent difference is as large as it was Saturday, I think it's always better to do whatever you can to keep control of the ball. There likely wasn't much difference in giving them the ball on our 35 as it would have been giving it on their 20, but there's a much bigger difference...

Re: Vandy-Hawaii highlights

Biggest hidden play in there - McGowan recovering his own fumble. If he can't get a hand on it, there's three UH defenders in the area, and I don't think anyone would have caught any of them on their way back. That would have given UH a 17-14 lead halfway through the 2nd and stalled any momentum we ...

If you'd've told me that anyone from the '03 class would have a daughter who was 5'10" by the time they were 13-14, I would've bet the mortgage it would have been Chantelle rather than Ashley Mac.

Re: The sound system is horrible

The game experience, the loud music dominating everything, the OA announcer sounding like a juvenile loudmouth and the inability converse with the fan next to you was worse than the game and we all know how bad the game was. This can be fixed?! Easily. Tell them to shut up and let the band play more.

History of blowouts

One point in which to take solace - over the past couple of years, we've responded well after blowouts. The last two times we lost by double digits, we came out against the same team the next night and shut them down. 4/8/21 - loss vs UGa 14-2 4/9/21 - win vs UGa 5-2 (Leiter 7 IP, 3 H, 13 K) 6/7/19 ...
