Re: Maybe it's the bats...no, the actual "bats"

Remember the trip to Louisville Slugger when the team played there this year? Is it a coincidence?

Re: thanks to the team and the coaches

Admittedly I have not watched one inning of Wake Forest ball but here is my question: For years now, teams have come to Nashville to learn from the best coach in the land on how to build a winning program. Can Corbs learn anything from what Wake is doing this year or is it just a fluke for them? I t...

Re: Ole Miss -17; scoring with 20 seconds left

What bothers me most about not taking a knee is that an injury can happen on any play going game speed. Kiffin's decision could have cost them or us a player for a week or two or a season. I think that was very reckless on his part and in a sport where you could cost a player a shot at the NFL with ...

Re: There are currently 131 schools in FBS...

I thought before the season even started, everyone who evaluated vandy said the weakest parts of the team were the Dline and D-backfield. Linebackers were a strength. So if you can't generate pressure and can't cover WRs very well, your pass defense will struggle. I am not sure why everyone seems su...

Re: Who's coming and who's going?

Since the start of the season and Little being absent to the short innings later in the year, this was the easiest call to make. I would have been shocked if he had come back and I think the coaches knew this a long time ago. He just never seemed to click with the team/staff to me. I wish him all th...

Re: Transfer portal

Vaz is a transfer from a junior college in Louisiana. Current relief pitcher (Anderson) is a transfer. Some of our prominent players during the Corbin era have been transfers. Why shun transfers now? I think the idea that Corbin shuns the portal is false. He consistently has the top 1-5 class in th...

It is the colors they used. A few different ones have the same color scheme as some of the marvel super heroes.

Re: Louisville Game Thread

I remember 2015 when we had the best team in the country coming off a title season. UVA barely made it in the tourney field and went on a tear through the field to beat us in the title game. I know UVA was battling injuries that year and got healthy at the end of the season and that helped them win ...

Re: Any news from Kumar Rocker?

I have looked at a few mock drafts and he is top 20 for the upcoming year. Below 10 but still in a decent spot. The Mets really hosed him last year. they should have to compensate him at slot value. I don't know, was he the hoser or the hosee? What would be the Mets' motive for fabricating a story ...

Re: Recruiting Question

No one likes to hear this but it is a process for an average to bad team to crawl up the ranks. I'll use UK as an example because I live in Kentucky and had many conversations with a good friend who is a UK alum. Stoops was hired and decided he would go into Ohio and Indiana and get kids who the Big...

Re: A Different Take on the Decommits

Vandy has always seen top players decommit. If I were a recruiter for a power 5 team, after I did my usual work finding kids, I would look at the players committed to Vandy, Northwestern, Duke, Stanford and other lower tier/ tough academic power 5 schools to see if they found a possible diamond. Mul...

Re: What’s Wake Forest doing…,

Thanks Auric. I like this quote as well: "Clawson complimented Ruggiero’s ability to identify unpolished gems and project how well players will fit in Wake Forest’s offense. That effort is aided by the continuity of Wake’s staff, as running backs coach John Hunter, receivers coach Kevin Higgins...

Re: Thoughts on Vandy's loss to the Fighting Leaches

Speed - or a lack thereof. It was telling that on the 60+-yard pass play Boddie was caught from behind by 2 DB's. Our guys are playing with effort and courage, but they just don't match up well with most SEC opponents. I said the exact thing to my friends yesterday. Boddie had good separation (at l...

Re: What’s Wake Forest doing…,

They have stuck with their coach for 7 years. He started his first 2 years at 3-9 but they gave him a chance to build his team. Not saying Lea will be our answer but complaining in year 1 when Vandy has a huge talent deficit in the most talented conference is not going to accomplish anything. Also, ...

Re: Jordan Lawlar tweets that he's signed a representation deal for...NIL?

If he improves his draft position or stays the same, he will most likely be drafted by a bad team. This has to be a bargaining ploy, I can't comprehend the #6 overall pick not turning pro.

Re: Report: Dominic Keegan

I don't care too much about MLB so I am not a draft junky but I suspect the shortened draft last year and all the kids who should have left with that draft class being pushed to this year has something to do with our players falling back. I think there is an extra pool of talent to choose from this ...

Re: NIL

I can't remember the player because I don't follow MLB too closely but didn't one of the better players lose a big chunk of his first big contract because he signed some type of "loan" in the minors for any future earnings? I remember reading something about how unfair that was to the play...
