Re: John Adams of Knoxville Paper Puts his

Adams and BO Nation are smelling a big victory on Saturday. Adams is just getting warmed up for the trash talking we will hear after the buttkicking.

Re: On Riley Neal

According to the TV announcers, the VU coach(es) (I guess GG, et al), went back and studied what Riley did well at Ball State. Then, put those things into the game plan. This kind of shows how far behind the curve our coaches have been this season. That is something they should have done before spri...

Re: Recruiting & season ticket Q???

The days of signing mostly 2s is over. I think I have read of star inflation. Maybe it is our increased profile on the SEC Network, etc.? The really good recruiting classes are liberally filled with 4-star recruits and an occasional 5. We mainly get 3s with an occasional 2 and 4. CJF would get sever...

Re: Best Case Scenario

I understand a weak offense when you have QB issues. This can happen to the powerhouse teams. What I don't understand is our woeful defense. After 6 years, CDM has such a pitiful defense. Why? After having listened to Bruno Reagan's podcast, I hope that the strength and conditioning coach is not thr...

Re: Replacement

Actually the other Norvell, (Jay) the one who coaches Nevada has had two winning seasons there out of three at a place that is a real nothing-burger historically for football plus he has been an assistant under Mike Ditka, Hayden Fry, Barry Alvarez, Jim Mora, Bob Stoops. Not many can say that. I'd ...

Re: Andy Ludwig?

Andy Ludwig is a heck of a coach. I don't think he's head coach material, however. Ludwig doesn't appear to be a dynamic leader or recruiter. He is a very capable coordinator. Do we want to prove the Peter Principle all over again?

Re: If they were to fire Mason today

I still remember Steve Bowman breaking a long td run in the 2nd half of our game with Alabama in Nashville when we were leading 7-6. As they say the tide turned after that. Was this the game during the season when Bama ended up winning the national championship? The one where Chuck Boyd from Madiso...

Re: Mason: We'll stick to the process despite the noise

What I saw Saturday was a good outcome, a much improved offense and vastly improved defense, and a different team that somehow managed to show up. Kudos to both team and coaches for the transformation; let’s hope it lasts. I’m less sure about the “process,” whatever that means, and which we’ve been...

Re: Another voice

If you look at recruiting ratings of the starters for Vandy and Mizzou, you will see they are almost identical. Yet Mizzou will boat race us later today—unless something drastic has changed. Who is that on? Sounds like the coaching staff to me.

Let me be perfectly clear (and this is a very UNEMOTIONAL statement).... Mike Leach will NEVER, EVER be the head coach at Vanderbilt University. Stop spending your time on it.
Like it or not: fact.

I told my wife this morning that they were firing Mason at the end of the season because the AD gave him a vote of confidence. She looked at me like I was crazy and said "HUH?"

Re: Wildcat formation

Our previous coach (some people hate it when his name is spoken) made a living out of us running the shotgun formation.. Wesley Tate and Zach Stacey in particular. I know that there was a time when many of us were wishing Mason would try this... but I didn't see much of the last two games. Have we ...

Re: The delusional UT fans are back

BYU's win against USC is not what it may be cracked up to be. USC was "good" because they handed it to Stanford. Well, Stanford turns out to be not so great. This whole narrative is a house of cards.

Re: SEC Acknowledges Bad IG Call in Purdue Game

Okay guys please help me out here. The QB can avoid a grounding call simply by launching the ball way downfield to assure past the LOS ? Why have a grounding rule at all ? I would assume that if there was no rule at all, it would become almost impossible to sack the QB. At least now, the QB has to ...

There is no bigger drama in college football than what is going on in Knoxville right now. It is already lots of fun.

I wonder if Jeremy Pruitt might resign on his own accord.
I've had the same thought. It must be torture to go through what he is experiencing.

It doesn't appear that Coach Pruitt is having a lot of fun. Seems like a fish out of water. I think he'll be more comfortable somewhere south of here.

Re: Can UT coach Jeremy Pruitt last beyond October?

I listened to Doug Matthews on Sunday. He made a rational case that the coaches--at least in the BYU game--were not at fault. He and Fulmer are close. If Matthews is still buying what Pruitt is selling, it tells me that Fulmer is not yet ready to pull the plug.

Is it true Ray Perkins went to Vandy and was booted for academic cheating?
I think you are talking about a different person. Ray Perkins, the Bama coach, was a great receiver for Bama and the Bear. He never attended Vanderbilt.
