Re: Video: Clark Lea, players postgame press conference, coverage from various outlets

Great pic and emblematic of the crowd that stayed through the one hour and 40 minute lighting delay. The crowd on the home side was very good. If all these people show up for the remainder of the season, we would actually have a majority of Vandy fans in attendance.

Re: I am glad we won, BUT...

Offensive line and secondary are HUUUGE
DISAPPOINTMENTS. Can’t believe they were that bad after listening to Clark the past 3 weeks.
3 wins this season and 0’fer in the SEC.

Approximately 8:15 Kickoff now

The weather gods don’t like Vandy home openers. Lots of people are leaving as a steady light rain has set in. This is going to look like a Covid game from a crowd standpoint. I feel bad for the Vandy Staff.as they’ve worked EXTRA hard to let everyone know which way to go to get into the stadium. I w...

Looks like they have turned off the construction cameras tonight, although I don’t really know why.

Videoboard Rises in the South Endzone...

hung between two cranes...Looks like they will be working into Thursday evening to get it and the speakers in place and then test it and get the kinks worked out on Friday. It's all coming together. Also, by the looks of the endzone cams, you will be able to walk in front of the Marriott if your com...

Burning Question- Will we have a Scoreboard by August 26?

As well as a 40 second clock on each end of the stadium. As of this morning, we have 1 and 1/3 of the Goal posts up.

Re: Pete Thamel: Sources: Rice targeting VU Asst. AD Tommy McClelland for AD; deal appears close to done

Chancellor Diermeir personally hired Tommy. I wish Rice would have gone after Candice Lee instead.
Do you think Candice will ever be an AD At another University?

Goalposts Going up at the Dud

Well, Since our home opener with Hawaii is one month away, the AD is starting to address Gameday. You can look on the Construction Cam and see them constructing the goalpost in the South end zone.

Re: ESPN's Pete Thamel on the transformation of Vandy football

I thought that was an excellent glimpse into the future of Vanderbilt football from Clark Lea's point of view as well as a national sports columnist like Pete Thamel. I thought this was a pertinent paragraph in the article regarding the future of Vanderbilt stadium: For the players and fans, there w...

We have been in a world of hurt offensively for these past 2 years and it looks like it's going to continue into next year. I see no relief in sight on the hitting front.

OT: Big Bad John Ingram

I know his family has almost singlehandedly kept Vanderbilt athletics afloat all these years, but he's decided that a renovated Fairgrounds Speedway would be too much "competition" for his Nashville SC Geodis Park and its not fair! He's fired off a letter to all the media outlets saying hi...

Re: Massive renovation of The Hawk announced!

BDR-dore, the age old issue with Hawkins Field is that most all of the infield seats are sold out, but people, for some reason, won’t use their tickets or give them to someone to use. It’s the most ridiculous thing that many of the infield seats sit empty weekend after weekend. It looks terrible on ...

Re: Massive renovation of The Hawk announced!

The current capacity is around 3800 and the article said the upper grandstand enhancements would be“PART of raising capacity by more than 10%” which is another 380 seats. I was generous and said 15% which would be 570 new seats and would up capacity to 4,370. Unless I’m missing something, that’s how...

Re: Massive renovation of The Hawk announced!

After studying the renderings a little more as well as reading the descriptions like "Multiple private suite opportunities" and "exclusive opera style boxes", this expansion will be not only aesthetically pleasing and beautiful, most of the new seating is going to high dollar to ...
