I CAN BE SO PETTY

I have an office colleague who is a UT undergrad and law school alum, and former member of the UT Alumni Board, etc. I had to listen to him wax eloquent about how spectacular UT baseball was all last spring, until the super regional. I had to listen to him wax eloquent about how spectacular UT footb...

Re: Fall Road game trip

From memory, VU does it only for bowl games, like to Birmingham or Memphis (don't think Shreveport). I think a few local alumni organizations may have arranged such trips by bus for SEC games. To UNLV, nope.

Re: Another rumored visit: Ven-Allen Lubin

I have often wondered if a Venn Diagram of the Van Allen belts would look anything like the rings of Saturn.

Re: Podcast: James Franklin talks about leaving VU & the commitment level

By force of his will, he convinced the players they could win, they should win. And they did win. I will never forget his first year, running up and down the sidelines during the UCONN game, yelling at the players "this is not the same old Vanderbilt" over and over. I hated that he left, b...

And he finishes well, as low Am

Final round 69, tied for 39th, low am, 9 strokes ahead of the next low amateur. Also ahead of the fellow who finished as low am at the Masters, former Fed Ex champ Billy Horschel, former Masters Champ Patrick Reed, former U S Open Champ Gary Woodland, and others.

Re: Martel Hight?

First, well duh Seadog73! Thanks Auric for reminding me.

Re: OT: Serious allegations against Northwestern, Pat Fitzgerald

I do not get this whole hazing culture that seems systemic between college sports and fraternities. I admit I am an old fart (72) but when I was in a fraternity and competing in college, hazing was doing pushups because you didn't know the answers to questions. There was NO hazing in my sport at VU....
