Challenges for Kentucky
Quarterback Layne Cooper, a transfer from Texas State, will lead the Ball State offense. Last season Cooper passed for 2,653 yards, 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. On defense 2022 All-MAC senior middle linebacker Clayton Coll who had 145 tackles, is back. The Cardinals finished the 2022 season with a 5-7 record.
