Challenges for Vanderbilt
Quarterback Jaxson Dart, who transferred to Ole Miss from USC, has played well for the Rebels this season but he’s no Joe Montana. So far this season Dart has thrown for 910 yards while completing 66 of 111 passes five touchdowns and three interceptions. His best game so far was in the 42-0 win over Georgia Tech. Dart passed for 207 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He’s also a threat to run averaging almost 50 yards per game on the ground. If Vanderbilt can get some decent pressure on Dart, without letting him run for big chunks of yardage, the Commodores might have a shot at upsetting the Rebels. The Commodores can’t allow Rebel wide receivers to run away wide open or it will be a long day.
