Challenges for Mississippi State
Many of Bulldog fans are probably yawning at the thought of State playing the Bowling Green Falcons. However, these Falcons have shown an ability to score points in bunches. They scored 57 against Eastern Kentucky and 34 on the Marshall Thundering Herd.
Matt McDonald is the man behind center for the Falcons. So far this season he’s thrown for 690 yards while completing 67 of 119 passes for 10 touchdowns and no interceptions. He has over 4,000 yards passing for 25 touchdowns in his Bowling Green career. He passed for over 280 yards against both EKU and Marshall. Definitely, Mississippi State has one of the best passing offenses in the nation but to win the Bulldog defense has to be able to slow McDonald and the Falcon passing attack.
