The rich continue to get richer as Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban added another piece to his recruiting class of 2022 earlier this month.

As good as Alabama is – and the Tide are once again exceptional – Saban is always looking to add more playmakers and he might have found another star for the future in 4-star wide receiver Aaron Anderson .
Anderson – a 5-foot-9, 185 pounder out of Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA) High School – feels like an extra recruiting win for ‘Bama when you consider he was a one-time commit of the rival LSU Tigers who decommited from the Tigers back in mid-October amongst the coaching turmoil that is going on in Baton Rouge.
Anderson is very highly rated per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is the No. 115 prospect nationally in the class, the No. 16 wide receiver, and the No. 10 player in the state of Louisiana. The powerful but diminutive wideout is a menace in the slot. He has a 10.77 100-meter time and has almost hit the sub-seven second mark in the 60-meter race.
It is Anderson’s ability to potentially score on any play that sets him apart. In the video below you can see highlights of his junior season and it is filthy. The first play is one that shows his leaping ability as Anderson is blanketed in the corner of the end zone but still has the ups to make an outstanding catch. The next plays focus on special teams – a role Anderson will immediately fill with the Tide – as the smooth running playmaker only needs half of a gap to explode down the field for a huge play. Anderson’s ability to accelerate from nothing to top speed is breathtaking and allows him to perform cuts and jukes other players couldn’t get away with. This excitement machine is going to be a monster in the SEC.
