Challenges for Auburn
This game pits two of the top offensive minds in college football against one another. The Tiger’s own Gus Malzahn will face off with the younger Jeff Brohm of Purdue. Brohm has developed a stellar quarterback in David Blough who is enjoying his best season as a Boilermaker, having completed 66.6 percent of his passes and compiling a 151.8 passing efficiency rating – both school records. He ranks second in the Big Ten Conference with an average of 293.4 passing yards per game (10th nationally), 296.2 yards of total offense per game and 25 passing touchdowns, and third with a 151.8 passing efficiency mark.
