I think any notion that times ( eg reunion dinners) have anything to do w/ anything but tv $ is misplaced

And aren’t most reuinon activities Fri night & alumni tailgate?

The centerpiece of reunions is Saturday night class dinners. They sell tickets to the football game and the dinner, and then the football game is designated for Saturday night per TV and you lose the money on the game or the dinner. Happens all the time.
