Based on EBjr & Diaz ABs, I guess this is what a non-SEC strike zone looks like this year. One pitch to Bradfield and two to Diaz were nowhere near what has been called strikes to date.
Re: Louisville
And now 2 of the 4 pitches by Thompson to walk the 2nd hitter in bottom 2nd, looked absolutely like strikes, but were called balls. Mystifying.
Re: Louisville
Terrific catch by Cards LF at the fence.
Is the broadcast color guy on the Louisville payroll? First time I recall ever listening to him...hopefully the last. He is not very good.

Re: Louisville
"Weasley steals second." That's what the play-by-play guy said when Hewett stole second. I rewound to make sure. Sigh...
Re: Louisville
The pitch on the 2-run single was low and outside and dude reached out and hit it right off the end of the bat. Nice hitting.

Re: Louisville
Whatever happens in the end - I find this offensive performance refreshing.
As noted earlier, several guys have gone with the pitch. In particular, Bradfield did it just to get on base. Later he bunted and caused chaos. Then Bulger laid down a lovely bunt.
Hewitt seems to be finding his stroke.
More “positive” outs - sac flies, ground outs to advance runners.
We seem to be focusing on execution. And that’s good.

Yep, one who knows all the cliches but is incapable of an actual original thought. I finally muted the sound, just can't listen to him anymore. "I LOVE IT!!"

Re: Louisville
This team is definitely frustrating. However, no team seems dominant this year. Postseason is gonna be wide open, so no reason Vandy can't be the team to gel in June/July. Not getting my hopes up too high, but too much talent just to fade away. I'm there to whenever the end may be.

Re: Louisville
Tied up going top of 9th. Would live a couple if runs and then 3 up 3 down for them. Great to tie it up in 8th.
