The problem was he wasn't the boss at Vandy. Some of the players was. Plus, bad luck with a hurt player.

Yeesh. Color me underwhelmed. Not a great replacement for QMB or Stute.

Have some concerns. A junior with very modest stats against some weak competition. Not a knock on him as an individual, but what are the academic standards at GCU like ?

Even without Garland he had:
Future NBA participants:
Aaron Nesmith
Saben Lee
Matt Ryan
Simi Shittu
plus Yanni Wetzel (Berlin of the EuroLeague)
Plus veteran Joe Toye who played 129 games at VU / started 41
Plus veteran Max Evans who played 121 games at VU / started 67
Plus Moyer who played 35 and started 20 at Syracuse
Plus Clevon Brown who played 127 at VU and started 37
Yet he still managed to go 0-20 somehow.

I can say with confidence that QMB is a better option than this guy. Odd that this is the type of player CJS would reach out to, unless he is casting the widest of nets possible. He is a shorter version of QMB who isn't as accurate from the floor, but similarly shy about shooting the ball.

A) I’ll support him
B) I’ll judge him after I’ve seen several games

I think he would have a better future in football. Seriously. Not sarcasm at all.

After the defending league champs dropped basketball in the middle of the season.
The NCAA should have stripped that joke of a conference of it's auto-bid.

Re: Grand Canyon transfer contacted by Vandy, others
GCU won their conference championship tournament finals game by 18 points. They received a 14 seed and led Gonzaga most of the first half and played pretty well despite being out-manned. xCBD has been to the post-season every season with teams outside of Vanderbilt (except last year but GCU was still still 23-8). That is 7 out of 8 seasons. He had an unfortunate season here in 2018-19 but c'mon the guy doesn't totally suck and I'm not sure I'd want to face GCU head-to-head.
