Outgoing Portal Leader
According an Austin sportswriter, the team with the most players entering the portal is (drumroll) aTm, with 29 Aggies in the portal. Can't tell if that number is related to Jimbo purportedly signing the overall number one class in 2022. Also, not clear if any starters are in the portal.
The Aggies certainly did not play up to expectations this past season. Jimbo could be on the hot seat, but for the huge buyout of his contract.

Current portal stats for Vandy (by my count):
Going out: 11 (including 2 who were dismissed from the team)
Coming in: 1 (Aeneas DiCosmo of Stanford)
But it's still early. Vandy had six come in from the portal last year, and most of those commitments came in the spring.

Saw where Lorenza Surgers is back in the portal after a year at Minnesota. He played in only six games and 53 total snaps... another cautionary tale from the portal.

Seems to me the transfer portal is like playing for the mega millions lottery if you aren't a stud. You might end up on a better team, you might play more... you also might play less and also not get a degree unless you get admitted to the online Phoenix University.

Mike is not coming back. His brother Alan "Taco" Wright remains in school and with the team, however.
