It seems to me that Vandy in/out is a strict test of whether the committee really lets the NET control or not. There's no way that if you go from the gut and/or take a "holistic" view that you leave Vandy out. But if you hew to the numbers strictly it seems clear we are out. Hence I think Vandy is a bell weather for the entire system.

I absolutely cannot stand (I never use the word "hate" anymore) the big ten. Most over-rated and over-hyped conference in sports, full of obnoxious fair-weather fans.

Marquette is absolutely stout. They played a TOUGH schedule to boot. There is just not enough room for 6 #1 seeds. Personally, I think they are above Purdue and Houston right now.
