* Carson Fulmer ...
Carson Fulmer was sent down to AAA Charlotte some time back and "stat-wise" seems to be struggling...
With Charlotte he is 5-5 and has a 5.44 ERA ... 9 starts with no complete games ... 46 Strikeouts & 35 BB in 51 innings.
Wonder if he's dealing with an injury... He's had some short outings.

Or could it be that he's having to deal with some serious issues of, perhaps, the relationship type?

Or maybe even master the first two. He HAS to get his W-K ratio normalized.DeefromAtlanta wrote:I wonder if he's been sent down to master a third pitch?
I still think he could be a lockdown closer in the bigs.

Fulmer has struggled with command. At the AAA level, it shows up in his walks. At the big league level they just hit it out of the park when he was missing spots. I still believe in his stuff and his competitive makeup, but it does look like some of the scouts who projected him as a reliever are going to be right. Put him in the pen and he can still be a top closer when he gets things straight.

Buehler had a minor injury and the Dodgers are handling him with kid gloves. It was probably a good thing that he missed time now because I'm sure they have an inning count on him and would rather have his stuff out there in September/October.

Walker took a line drive to the rib cage. Hairline fracture of a rib and, of course, a terrible, painful bruise.commadore wrote:Hey, does anyone know what has happened to Walker Buehler? He has disappeared.
That was a few weeks ago. I think he has since pitched 2-3 innings in one game and will be increasing his time on the mound as they ease him back into the rotation.

He came back about 8-9 days ago, though, and got the win. Said he felt fine. But hasn't pitched since.VanDSIRROM wrote:Walker took a line drive to the rib cage.
