Re: A college baseball player's take on hitting struggles
Any thoughts on how often we end up 0-2 in the count and how much of a disadvantage it is to be battling back from disadvantage pitch counts so often? Getting 0-2 early more than likely is from a few things. Pitchers not afraid to attack, hitters not ready to jump on a fastball, hitters not seeing ...

Re: A college baseball player's take on hitting struggles
I have only 2 questions 1. It seems like our hitters take a lot of first pitches: is that taught or just part of the process. Also all batters seem to be coached to hold off when the count us 3-0. Is that correct? 2. Our team has overall batting average in the high 200's but with guys in scoring po...

Thanks, Brent. Love your insight. Any link to today's action? Wasn't able to watch today.

A college baseball player's take on hitting struggles
I have seen a lot of takes on Twitter about how Vandy can't hit this year and they need a new hitting coach and so on. I am finishing up my final year of college baseball at Cumberland University. I am nowhere near the top-level player Vandy has, but I do understand baseball and hitting. I have been...

Nothing against Reed, but I would much rather have Minchey. Seems so natural and calm in the pocket.

Re: Who in this signing class do you think will make the most immediate impact?
I think I’ll go with Darren Agu. Has the size, speed, and athleticism to play right away. Barton Simmons says he may be the best pass rusher recruit in the country! Hope he’s right!

Lots of offers today
Seems like every time I’ve gotten on twitter yesterday and today another high schooler has been offered by Vandy. Wonder if there is some strategy involved in sending out lots of offers in the same day to generate buzz? Or maybe it’s just coincidence. Looking back though, I feel the staff has been c...

Swann in UA Game
Just had a couple really nice passes to march his team down the field for a TD. Both of them on the run, different directions.
Edit: Seeing now he threw a pick the drive before I turned it on.

Re: Teaser about a big yet-still-unknown signee?
My guess is Daniel Martin. Would be phenomenal salesmanship of the program to have him announce at the All-American Bowl, even if he has already signed. No doubt Coach Lea and Barton know how to sell a vision

Re: Agu?
I've stalked his twitter likes (I know, weird) and it seems he's liking mainly Vandy posts but also a good portion of UT posts. For whatever that is worth. Really hoping Vandy can hold on to him, think he'll turn out to be phenomenal

Re: Whole lotta Poachin' goin' on!
The level of athlete this coaching staff is bringing in this recruiting cycle is different than years past. Bodes well for the future. 2-10 and now will be bringing in the best class since James Franklin, and may not be too far off from that if they can land Daniel Martin and a couple more.

He’s already said he’s not against transfers, was just against bringing in a bunch of transfers right off the bat before the current players had a chance to show what they have

Re: UK opens as a 19-point favorite
Could be anecdotal, but most of the videos I’ve been seeing this week from Vandy social media accounts show Moussa throwing the ball. Who knows if it means anything, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets the start or most of the minutes.

Talk about SEC size and speed
Commits Darren Agu and Linus Zunk are going to bring some to the D-line soon. They're both 6'6 and about 230lbs. They play on the same highschool team and look to be shot out of a cannon on each play. Very excited to see them play on West End. These are the kind of athletes Vandy needs to compete!
