Re: Reality Check
Derek Mason dug this program's grave, and COVID shovelled the dirt on the lowered coffin. But that doesn't excuse bad coaching by Lea when/it happens. In fact Lea has an even smaller margin for error. He convinced Dr. CSL to hire him over experienced head coaches. He needs to get up to HC level acum...

Re: Washington Post calls Vandy-UConn the 'sorriest' college football game of 2021
It was a compelling game between two very flawed teams trying desperately to get a win. Wapost way off the mark.

TBF, Uconn deserved the win more than we did, and hopefully they will get one soon. Our pass defence is really poor.

I've never seen a more mentally fragile team. That facemask call on the sack has caused a complete meltdown.

Re: The state of college athletics is a bad combo for Vanderbilt Football
I think NIL will lead to a College Football Super League structure. To analogise to English football, there will be a Premiership with the Top 36 or so P5 programs and a Championship with the remainder of P5 and FBS. This will sit atop the current conferences, which will exist primarily for purposes...

Re: UAB new Protective Stadium
well in this case I think the choice was new stadium or no football for UAB. Our issue is that a flat-pack design stadium (it's the same stadium as UNCCharlotte, etc). like this wouldn't fit in the footprint of The Dud, which would seem to make the rebuild cost even higher.

Re: Zemek: Vanderbilt and Clark Lea get a “come to Jesus” moment
I think there has got to be a way other than Bobby Johnson's long road to a short lived mediocrity, which featured conventional schemes and a slow improvement of personnel. I fear that's what CLL may have in mind. That's exactly what Lea has in mind, Clean program, plod along with four win seasons,...
