Re: Roster Thoughts
How 'bout an 'adda-boy' to Coach Stackhouse. We were all considering hara-kiri after the portal opened, and now we're clearly in better shape. I'm absolutely grateful and honored to have Mr. Stackhouse as our coach. The guy gives everything he has.

Well played Tyrin. Well played. You are indeed a baller. Can't wait to watch you next season.

Re: He’s Back!
The problem is, however, that VU can't fund the NIL. Sure they can. They will just direct donors to the collective. It's a simply conversation, VU rep says VU will focus on facilites spending while donor guys should spend in the collective. Sports Facilities will no longer be treated as a self suff...

Re: FWIW - Lawrence
I hate the NET, but it does exactly what the Tourney Committee wants. It assesses the whole season. We were garbage in Nov./Dec. That's why we didn't go to the tournament. Jason has explained the mechanics of the NET countless times on this board, and yet, people keep going down the same inane rabbi...

Evaluating Stack, no one can argue he's giving less than a 100% for Vanderbilt. I'm grateful for him.

This guy is easily the best Chancellor I've experienced from messaging and understanding the landscape around him. He is spot on regarding athletics and he is spot on with regards to ideological neutrality in education. With time he could be regarded as our best ever. He is refreshing.

Re: Tyrin Lawrence
So, since is going to be the situation every year, how many more years would you give Stack to get to the NCAAs? I'm seriously asking. And "almost" making it doesn't count IMO (I may be in the minority on that). He literally was awarded SEC Coach of Year this year by the coaches. Do you t...

Re: Tyrin Lawrence
I don't know how you can sugar coat the fact that we are arguably going into next year with less talent, experience, and hope than at any time as a VU fan sans 1 or 2 years. You're welcome to take this position, but I just don't buy it. I see a badass coach learning to adjust to the conditions in f...

Yep. Continuity is no longer a thing. With the right attitude and approach we may find niches in the framework of the NIL/Portal world. Our coach has high end horsepower. We'll see what he figures out.

I get it, but I don't have to like it. Here's hoping there's wisdom in his heart, and if not, blessings of lessons learned the hard way.

Re: 2023 SF Malik Presley to announce decision Friday
I like this guy, but all I want is guards, real guards. Lots of them. If you feel like you can grab guards in the portal easily, then fine. If the idea is to teach swingman as freshmen something, then whatever works. At this point, I have to hope Stack sees what most see about roster management. Jus...

I'll also note, and this is important, Stack has shown zero awareness of optics in his tenure. His lack of a response just means there's nothing for him to say. Understanding the optics game is a great skill, but Stackhouse's obliviousness to it is actually refreshing. He's a straight shooter. I he...

He has some wheels at that height. Pretty graceful runner. Makes it look effortless. So jelly. I looked slow and was slow.

He can come out and say it not true, and not insult some of the fan base, if it not him saying this he need to have better oversite on who tweets for him. Sure he COULD have done that. But it would be less funny and have less snark. I mean the guy dunked on people for 20 years. Why should yall be e...

I'm hacked about my Mavs still. Mark Cuban is trash. My big concern with VW is the long lanky body. I've read all about the magical stretching exercises they're doing, but I can't see how that body can run many miles.

Re: Here is what’s going on…
I think this was a joke, but exactly why does 4 years of college coacing that produced 2 NIT bids and 0 NCAA bids get an NBA offer? I don't see this right now. He can't possibly do any worse than Jason Kidd in Dallas. The trade for kyrie is what sank the mavericks. Kyrie is not a team player, but J...
